Business Wisdom
From my engineer friend.
"Sue,
Sometimes I think about how I’m a white collar worker where most of my siblings are blue collar. They work with their hand while I work with my head. And I was thinking that with one hand injury they could be out of a job. But with one brain injury I could be management."
So true.

Hee hee! Far TOO true!
ReplyDeleteI am looking for a job and actually recieved a letter in response to an online resume asking me to call with regard to a Branch Manager position.
I'm not qualified. Not even close, and I don't want it.
I mentioned it to my immediate supervisor while I was in paryoxisms of laughter. He wasn't laughing.
His question to me was, "Have you looked around and NOTICED the people who are managers around HERE?"
Point taken. He thought I'd do a better job than they, despite my lack of qualification.
So let me just say that the concept that if people less qualified than I are considered to be management material, and I'm not anywhere close to being qualified...well....how terrifying is THAT?????
